Leahi U19s WIN Surf Cup!!!!!
Congratulations to the U19 girls for winning the 2008 San Diego Surf Cup!
The girls went undefeated, and claimed the title by defeating San Juan Spirits from Cal North 2-1 in overtime. Team members included: Briana Afoa, Kristina Behrens, Tani Costa, Tarra Gabriel, Jayann Gabrio, Bethany Gallarde, Chelsey Goo, Karli Look, Sasha Moscatello, Alana Munger, Krystal Pascua, Aisha Price, Jillian Seminara, Meleana Shim & Lahaina Zoller. Coaches were Michele Nagamine, Scott Keopuhiwa, Missy Moore and Joelle Sugai.

94 Premier Sweeps Competition
Congratulations to Leahi 94 Premier for claiming the Girls U15 Gold division(highest division) at the Portland City United Summer Classic. Coach Jeff & Coach Em led the team to a perfect 4-0 record, with 19 goals scored and only 1 allowed. Way to go ladies!

2008 Far West Regional News!
3 Leahi teams advanced to the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships Semifinal games.
GU19: Leahi 89 Premier swept all its pool play matches vs Southbank Ladybugs (AZ), Whatcom Rangers (WA), Sereno 89 (AZ). The 89s beat Sparta United (UT) before losing to FC Portland with a 2-1 in the Semi Finals. 89 Premier finishes tied for 3rd.
GU17: Leahi 91 Premier beat Washington Premier 2-1 in the Quarter Finals on goals by Brittney Sanford and Erin Rementer. 91 Premier lost 2-0 to the Eagles from Camarillo, California in the semifinals. 91 Premier finished tied for 3rd.
GU12: Leahi 96 Premier beat Slammers FC of Newport Beach California 2-1 on two goals by Hannah "Leialoha" Kaina in the Quarter Finals before losing to West Coast FC in the Semi Finals. 96 Premier finished tied for 3rd.

Taaca - Advertiser Girls Soccer Player of the Year Congratulations to Erin "Kanani" Taaca, the 2008 Honolulu Advertiser's Girls Soccer Player of the Year. Taaca, a senior at Kamehameha, was the HHSAA State Tournament MVP for the second consecutive year, and was a repeat selection to the Advertiser's All State Team. Kanani will attend UH Manoa next year.
